We are looking for volunteers for a sociological study on first-generation students who are currently living with their family while attending university.
The study aims to understand how first-generation students develop their individual identities while balancing existing roles within your family unit. You will be asked questions about being a university student, family roles and responsibilities, and the experience of being the first in your family to attend a Canadian university.
To be eligible, you must be a student at Carleton University, the first in your family to attend a Canadian university, and currently living with your family while attending university. The study will take place on campus and should take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete. A $10 gift card to Tim Hortons or Starbucks will be offered as compensation and appreciation for your involvement in the project.
If you are interested, please email Jordan Wark at JordanWark@cmail.carleton.ca for more details on participating.
