TR-13-05: A Review of VANET Data Dissemination and Intelligent Traffic Signal Control Strategies

Abstract

This report deals with the research areas of data dissemination and traffic control within VANETs. The focus of this report will be on the development and investigation of VANET systems within realistic traffic simulations. Furthermore, this work will largely deal with the algorithmic/software aspects of VANET systems, and will only briefly touch on hardware specifications. From an algorithmic point of view, this work will focus on approaches which are scalable, self-organizing and realistic.
