The latest release of Google Chrome (45.0.2454.85m, released on Tuesday September 1, 2015), has dropped support for NPAPI plugins, including Java, and Silverlight.
This means that Banner or other Java based apps will no longer work in Chrome once it has been upgraded, which should happen automatically if the client uses Chrome.
The only option is to use a different browser.
