In this lecture, Bethany Hastie discussed historical developments and current trends in temporary labour in both the European and Canadian contexts, examining the effects of long-term temporary labour programs for receiving and sending states, as well as for temporary workers themselves.
Bethany Hastie is a Doctoral Candidate at the Institute of Comparative Law at McGill University, where she holds an SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship and is a former O’Brien Fellow in Human Rights and Legal Pluralism.
