Scholars are invited to submit an application for the position of Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholar on Transatlantic Relations for the Fall 2023 academic term (September-December 2023). The position will involve teaching one master’s level course on transatlantic relations with the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS) and presenting a lecture on their research at a co-hosted public event.
The Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholarship on Transatlantic Relations is a joint initiative by the Centre for European Studies (CES) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), Ottawa Office. It supports a visiting scholarship at Carleton University in the Fall Term of each year (September to December). The Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholar on Transatlantic Relations is selected in a competitive process.

Dr. Clara Portela was the inaugural Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholar in the Fall 2022 academic term. In November, Dr. Portela presented a lecture on her research on the effectiveness of sanctions (read the news post here) and participated in an EU Policy interview on EU sanctions policy (watch the video here).
