Internet Privacy – Positions and Conflicts: Views from Europe and Canada
Colin Bennett (University of Victoria) has published extensively on questions of privacy and has written briefing papers for the Privacy Commissioners in Ottawa, London, and Brussels. Currently he is lead investigator in a SSHRCC-funded research project on privacy and social media.
Maria Farrell has long experience of the struggles between the EU and the US over privacy and the interception of electronic communication after September 11 th . She has also been Policy Executive for Electronic Law at the Law Society of England and Wales. In addition, she has particular insights into the points of view of some of the social media.
