2022 EU Issues Conference Keynote for High School Students

The Jean Monnet Project “Studying EU in Canadian High Schools” will be hosting the EU Issues Conference keynote for high school students.

9:00-9:05  Welcome and introduction, Professor Crina Viju-Miljusevic (Carleton University)

9:05-10:05 Keynote Address, ““Challenges for the European Union. Learning From the Past and Preparing for the Future.” by Professor Dr. Jürgen Neyer (European University Viadrina)

10:05-10:10  Closing remarks

The keynote presentation will explore the current challenges facing the European Union in the present, its internal and external policies, and to relate that to developing a specific European view on the war.

The aim is to educate high school students on EU-related topics to expand their interest and knowledge of European affairs. The target audience is high school students studying international business, international law, world issues, geography, history, economics, and politics.

Teachers – Please register your class of students to attend with the form below. Individual students may register to attend with your permission. The event is free to attend and everyone attending and teaching high school is welcome.
