Research: Dr. Rose investigates the role of oxidative stress and ammonia at the cellular and molecular level in two different animal models (portocaval anastamosis and bile-duct ligation) and in in vitro preparations. He also tests different therapeutics strategies for hepatic encephalopathy, a neuropsychiatric syndrome caused by hepatic deficiency.
