Research: Dr. Jin’s research interests include a) the in vitro and in vivo toxicology of food and environmental contaminants, b) the role of oxidative/nitrosative stress and antioxidant defense, and systemic inflammatory response in chronic disease, c) the role of food chemicals in pathogenesis of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, d) interaction between nutrients, lifestyle, and chemicals in biological systems, and e) the toxicity of chemical mixtures.
