Research: Dr. Grandvaux investigates signaling mechanisms controlled by reactive oxygen species (ROS). Her focus is on how ROS are involved in the innate immune response induced by infection with RNA viruses, mainly the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). In particular, the work of her group focuses on the analysis of the molecular mechanisms involved in gene regulation of cytokines and chemokines involved in the restriction of infection by transcription factors NF-kappaB and IRF.
