Research: Dr. Austin investigates the mechanisms responsible for homocysteine-induced atherosclerosis and thrombosis, the regulation of cell-surface tissue factor activity and the identification of the cellular role of dystrophin isoforms in vascular disease and thrombosis. His other interests include the role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in human disease.
