The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs and the Office of the Vice-President (Research and International) hosted the 2013 Faculty Graduate Mentoring Awards on Jan. 21. These awards recognize faculty who render exceptional service to graduate students as supervisors and research mentors.
Congratulations to Dr. Evelyn Maeder (Criminology & Psychology) on her award. Below are some of the comments made by Dr. Maeder’s nominees.
- Dr. Evelyn Maeder’s dedication to Carleton University and to the research field extends directly to the students that she mentors. Her enthusiasm for education and research is truly inspirational.
- Dr. Maeder is deserving of this mentoring award because the word mentor speaks to what she does so perfectly….Dr. Maeder is seen by her students as a kind, hard-working expert in her field who genuinely wants to see her students excel at what they’re doing, and have a good time while they are doing it.
