On Friday, November 3rd there will be a benefit concert to fight Doug Ford’s Kemptville prison plan. In August 2022, two Kemptville residents applied for a court order to stop the project on
the grounds that the province failed to consult the municipality before the decision was made as is required by Ontario’s planning laws.
The headliner of the concert will be Logan Staats, a Mohawk singer-songwriter who won CTV’s The Launch in 2018 and is this year’s winner of the Socan Foundation TD Indigenous singer songwriter of the year award.
