For those of you who will have completed the 1st and 2nd year core Criminology requirements by May 1st, 2013, and are interested in doing the Field Placement in Criminology during the Fall/Winter 2013-14 academic year, we are having an information session on Wednesday, January 16th at 2:45 pm in Room 238 Tory Building.

This course (CRCJ 3901) is worth 1.0 credit and runs from September to April. Students will complete a seminar class, roughly every two weeks, plus work 8 hours per week (unpaid) from September to April at one agency as part of their regular course load.  Acceptance is based on a grade point average from the 6 credits of core Criminology requirements. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2013. The top 80 applicants accepted will then have a chance to review a list of participating agencies and submit their preferences.

The application can be found at: www5.carleton.ca/criminology/current-students/field-placement-information/placement-form/.
