No More Deaths in Custody

The Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice (ICCJ) kindly invites you to join us at the ICCJ Winter 2024 Colloquium “No More Deaths in Custody” with key note speaker Yusuf Faqiri, founder of Justice for Soli. We will also have a panel of speakers including Lydia Dobson and Alexandria Bonney (Prisoner Legal Supports), Lindsay Jennings (Tracking (In)Justice), and Megan Linton (Carleton PhD student and Ontario Disability Justice Network).

Deaths in Ontario jails have been increasing, yet there has been little institutional action to make change. Come and hear from those in the movement who are working to mobilize strategies for greater transparency and accountability to end deaths in custody.

This is a FREE event. All are welcome. Light food and refreshments will be available.

Registration for this event is now closed.
