The Carleton MA program in economics provided me with comprehensive training in econometrics, causal inference, and machine learning. I learned about the pros and cons of a broad range of statistical techniques, mastered them through rigorous mathematical proofs, and tested my knowledge through the puzzling specifics of empirical research. Beyond the classroom, I’ll be confident working in research, policy, business, and data analysis environments using statistical software like STATA, R, and Python data science packages.
