Mumtaz Ahmad

Instructor,

Carleton University

PhD Economics, 2021

I came to Canada in 2012 to pursue post-graduate studies in Economics. As an international student, I earned an MA and a Ph.D. from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Carleton University, respectively. My expertise and areas of research lie in Macroeconomics and International Monetary Economics. I am currently a Contract Instructor at the Economics Department at Carleton University. I am also a part-time Lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Fouzia Khan

Personal Banking Advisor,

Alterna Savings

MA Economics, 2020

I am a Carleton Graduate currently working as a Personal Banking Advisor for Alterna Savings. I have more than 9 years of banking experience both in Bangladesh and Canada, and in my current role I help people to make financial plans for their present and future. I enjoy my current job, but my long-term career goal is to pursue my passion of working as an Economist so that I can align my academic background with my career.
