Biography

Michael initially began his time at Carleton as an engineering student, but he became enamored with economics during his first year. He quickly switched to a major in economics and enjoyed every facet of the program, developing a particular passion for behavioral economics and econometrics. He was provided with exceptional mentorship in economic research through working in the Students as Partners Program and as a research assistant within the Economics department. He would like to offer his deepest gratitude to the faculty at the Department of Economics for providing an exceptional education, the opportunity to develop his passion for economics, and support throughout his time in the program. He would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Simon Power for being an outstanding educator, mentor, and role model as well as helping him prepare to tackle graduate studies.

What will you pursue next?

I have been very fortunate in being granted the opportunity to continue my studies in economics at Queen’s University. I hope to continue my graduate studies following completion of my Master’s degree, and will always remember the amazing experience I had at Carleton.
