Co-op Salary Survey

As young professionals, co-op students seek fair and competitive wages. You, the employer, set the wages for your co-op student during their work term. Our salary survey is displayed by program discipline and level and represents the hourly salaries reported for work terms from 2025.

When you hire a co-op student, you may qualify for additional funding , subsidies or tax credits. Find out about financial assistance to help offset some of the cost of hiring a Carleton co-op student.

Co-op students are not included under the Ontario Employment Standards Act. While employers are not required to give co-op students vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, or overtime pay, most include compensation for these as part of the student’s salary.
