Carleton University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design received several distinctions in the 2022 ShanghaiRanking of academic subjects, including: 44th in the world for telecommunications engineering and 100th in the world for electrical engineering.
The ShanghaiRanking report includes over 1800 institutes from 96 countries and ranks them based on several factors including research influence and quality, international collaboration, and awards.
This yearly report is a valuable resource to see where Carleton University stands on the international stage as well as seeing which institutes are excelling within several academic fields.
In addition to the programs listed above, our computer science and engineering and civil engineering programs ranked in the top 200. And our environmental engineering program ranked in the top 300.
