Carleton Ranked Top 10 in Canada for Engineering
Carleton University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design (FED) has moved up two spots to No. 10 in Canada in the 2025–26 rankings by the U.S. News & World Report. FED’s electronics engineering profile ranked No. 4 in Canada, and for the first time, our civil engineering profile was ranked No. 9 nationally.
The U.S. News & World Report, a U.S.-based media company known for education analysis and global rankings, placed Carleton’s Faculty of Engineering and Design in the top 30 per cent of engineering schools worldwide. The rankings are based solely on academic research performance and international reputation.
“It’s a proud moment for our entire community and a strong validation of the work we’re doing to lead in education and research,” said Dean of FED, Larry Kostiuk.
“To be counted among the top 10 engineering schools in Canada and top 30 per cent of engineering around the world is a testament to Carleton’s rapid rise as a leader in engineering education.”
Carleton University was also ranked among the top 20 Best Global Universities in Canada, based on its standing in the broader Best Global Universities category.
