In this series of posts, we are looking at various notable accomplishments by our faculty members and the department as a whole. This week we are celebrating Professor Crina Viju-Miljusevic.

Professor Viju, together with Patrick Leblond from University of Ottawa, has co-edited a special issue of the Journal of European Pubic Policy (Vol. 26(12), 2019)“EU Trade Policy in the 21st Century”. The special issue originated from a research workshop organized by Professors Viju and Leblond at University of Ottawa in March 2018. This publication is part of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Carleton University. You can read more about this story at this link.

Professor Viju together with Dirk de Bièvre from University of Antwerp and Patrick Leblond from University of Ottawa have organized an international research conference on January 31, 2020, “EU Trade Policy: Politicization at the limits of Trade Policy” hosted by the Jean Monnet Network on EU-Canada Relations at Carleton University.

In September 2019, the Centre for European Studies (CES) at Carleton University launched the European Union Learning project, which is supported by a grant from the EU’s Erasmus+ Programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport. Professor Viju was the principal applicant for this grant and is the coordinator of this project, which will run until 2021.
