The programs support officer position focuses on enhancing learning and engagement both within the department and with the broader community. Key responsibilities include supporting field courses and practicum/co‑op opportunities, enhancing program visibility through strategic communications, and leading educational development outreach initiatives. Before taking on this position, Nika gained valuable experience as a teacher in various school boards across Ottawa and its surrounding rural areas. Additionally, in her youth, she spent several summers working for Ontario Parks as an outdoor educator and in research support roles.
