The Programs Support Officer position has numerous components, briefly it involves enhancing learning and engagement within the department and with the broader community; an analysis of program effectiveness including improving program visibility; and providing support in field courses, practicum/co-op, and course development initiatives.
Before starting at Carleton, Nika worked several years as a teacher in the Ottawa Carleton District School Board and the Upper Canada District School Board. Prior to this she worked for the Ministry of Natural Resources in Ontario Parks for a couple of seasons. Killarney Provincial Park as a Natural Heritage Interpreter and Park Attendant; and at Woodland Caribou Provincial Park as a Park Ranger and Research Assistant.
