B.Sc. (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics); B.Tech. (Hons). (Metallurgical Engineering); Ph. D. (Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, USA. P. Eng. – Registered Professional Engineer More than 50 years of R&D in Govt. Labs, Private Industry and Universities.

- Permafrost engineering
- Monitoring the freezing/thawing interface in the Canadian Arctic
- Measurement of electrical freezing and thawing potentials
- Advanced materials and processing and applications to engineering
