Let’s Bike Month at Carleton

This June, Healthy Workplace is partnering with Sustainability Carleton to bring Let’s Bike Month Ottawa to Carleton University! This fun and inspiring initiative offers a range of engaging events – both on campus and in the community – making it easier than ever to get rolling. It’s a great opportunity to hop on your bike, enjoy the fresh air, and discover the city from a whole new perspective.

Whether you’re commuting to campus or just out for a ride, cycling is a simple way to build more movement into your day while choosing a greener option.

Let’s Bike Month Ottawa encourages our community to swap car trips for bike rides, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. Participants can also track their impact and see how their rides are contributing to a more sustainable Ottawa.

5 Ways to you can participate in Bike Month!

1. Join the Road Ravens

Join Sustainability Carleton & Healthy Workplace’s team, Road Ravens, and log your rides throughout June for a chance to win awesome prizes! Engage in friendly competition with friends and colleagues, positively impact the planet, and save money on gas. Let’s be more active and lead a sustainable lifestyle together.

2. Attend a Let’s Bike Ottawa Workshop

Presented by Let’s Bike Ottawa and delivered by a friendly, experienced cyclist, this workshop will provide participants with answers to commonly asked questions about e-mobility.

3. Don’t have a bike? Consider Carleton’s Bike Loan Program!

Supporting Carleton University’s sustainability goals, the bike loan program is available to all continuing faculty and staff members. Visit the Sustainability Website to learn more.

4. Connect with Ottawa’s Cycling Community

Looking to connect with other cyclists? Join the many free community events, tours, and workshops hosted by Let’s Bike Ottawa throughout June.

It costs only 12 cents in electricity to charge the battery on an e-bike! Ebikes can be purchased from a variety of stores across Ottawa.
