Implemented Pinnacle billing system
- Provided customers access to monthly phone bills ‘online’
- Linked to Banner to provide automatic updates to Carleton’s Web directory
- Decommissioned Remedy server (previous billing system)
Introduced lower rates
- Reduced long distance charges by 35%
- Reduced monthly rental rates for two VoIP phones
Initiated Carleton’s voice network upgrade
Campus VoIP migration now 40% complete!
- Added capacity for Canal and River buildings
- Simplified administration and reduced network complexity
- Improved system availability by reducing single points of failure
- Decommissioned one traditional PBX
Re-worked Carleton’s Emergency Notification System (ENS)
