Jean Ketterling
PhD Candidate (Legal Studies)
Jean Ketterling is a PhD student in the Department of Law and Legal Studies at Carleton University. Her research is focused on affect, emotion, intimacy, and sex in video games. She is also interested in the pedagogical potential of video games in sociolegal education. Jean is a 2020 Vanier Scholar.
Before attending Carleton, Jean worked as a sexual health educator and in the field of sexual and reproductive justice, including as the Executive Coordinator of the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights, a youth-led advocacy organization. She has continued to work in this field as a consultant.
