The Department of Law and Legal Studies is the biggest and most vibrant centre for interdisciplinary Legal Studies research and teaching in North America. With over 35 full-time professors, and practitioners in areas of private practice, government and non-governmental organizations, our instructors reflect our commitment to interdisciplinary research and instruction.
Included among our areas of teaching and research are Crime, Governance and Security; Globalization, International Law and Transnational Justice; Citizenship, Human Rights and Political Economy; Gender, Sexuality and Identity; Law, History, Culture and Humanities; and Conflict Resolution.
