Amy is a PhD student in the department of law and legal studies at Carleton university. Amy’s proposed doctoral research “It’s like a cult”: Calling out sexual violence in classical ballet, aims to explore the prevalence of sexual violence in classical ballet through the intersections of touch, emotion, and the law. Previously her MA titled Experiences of Pregnancy in Prison: Navigating Prenatal Care in a Canadian Correctional Setting took a qualitative approach to the outcomes of care provided to pregnant individuals experiencing incarceration in Canada.
