During a 10-day research residency, singer Sarah Albu, pianist Luisa Santacesaria, and musicologist Valentina Bertolani will work together with composer Gayle Young to explore how to preserve her musical practices.
There will be three free, interactive public workshops, and everybody is invited to participate:
- APRIL 15, 1-4pm, CARLETON DOMINION CHALMERS CENTRE
Interactive workshop led by Sarah Albu and Gayle Young, exploring Young’s vocal practices.
- APRIL 16, 1-4pm, ARBORETUM (In front of the Dows Lake Pavilion)*
Interactive workshop led by Gayle Young, exploring lithophones and resonators.
*In case of rain the workshop will be postponed to April 17 at Carleton Dominion Chalmers Centre 1-4pm
- APRIL 19, 1-4pm, CARLETON DOMINION CHALMERS CENTRE
Interactive workshop led by Luisa Santacesaria and Gayle Young, exploring Young’s custom-built instruments.
