Carleton Music hosts two annual summer camps for aspiring musicians 12 years and up. It’s an opportunity to build confidence and skills while working with award-winning musicians and some of the finest music educators in the country.

Registration for this year’s camps opens January 30th.

Carleton Jazz Camp

Jazz enthusiasts from beginner to advanced are welcome. We have special programs designed for those who are just getting started, and for those who are more advanced. Each year we welcome a blend of students from grades 7 and 8 through to university level, and adults through to seniors. Students can participate on standard jazz instruments, as well as other instruments (e.g. bassoon), upon request. We encourage string players (violin, viola, cello) to register for our Song-to-Stage camp.

Carleton Song-to-Stage Camp

The S2S camp is an opportunity to hone skills in songwriting and performance on voice or instruments. This camp is designed for all levels from beginner to advanced, and intergenerational learning is encouraged. Our award-winning and experienced instructors can work with those who are just getting started, and those who are more experienced. Plus we have advanced students, including Carleton students, assisting with co-writing mentorship as well as supervision for our youngest campers at lunch. Our programming is suitable for students from middle school, high school, university level, and adults through to seniors. Our supportive and inclusive team will help you learn to feel confident sharing your music on the stage! Singer-songwriters, singers and instrumentalists are all welcome!
