Sinéad Almeida
MA Student
Sinéad Almeida is a second-year student in the thesis stream of the Music and Culture program. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons.) in classical piano with a minor in psychology from Carleton University. Her research explores the role of informal music in everyday life within long-term care, with a particular focus on how music can support person- or emotion-centred caregiving. She is also interested in music as an accessible, low-cost mode of communication that supports well-being, aiming to highlight how music can be used as a tool for listening, connection, and care.
