Biography

After completing my B.A. Psychology with Minors in Neuroscience and Mental Health as well as American Sign Language in June 2017, I was accepted into the Dalhousie University Graduate certificate program in Mental Health and Addictions. I then went on to complete a Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University.

I initially took a neuroscience course to fulfill a breadth requirement. I was interested, but very nervous because I didn’t excel in sciences in high school. The professors were amazing at making sure I understood the foundations of neuroscience so I could explore more complex topics.

Advice for Current Students

Keep an open mind. Explore different topics and push yourself outside of your comfort zone. It will definitely be worth it!
