Stephanie Pink

What is your current position and/or program? I was recently accepted in the Dalhousie University Graduate certificate program in Mental Health and Addictions.

What degree do you have from Carleton University and what year did you graduate? I graduated in June 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, a minor in neuroscience, and minor and certificate in American Sign Language.

What stood out about your experience in Carleton’s Department of Neuroscience? I took neuroscience to fulfill a breadth requirement. I was interested, but very nervous because I didn’t excel in sciences in high school. The professors were amazing at making sure I understood the foundations of neuroscience so I could explore more complex topics.

Do you have any advice for incoming students? Keep an open mind. Explore different topics and push yourself outside of your comfort zone. It will definitely be worth it!
