Keisha is a BA student with a major in Political Science and a minor in Critical Race Studies. Her research project is entitled “It’s Time, Reclaiming Our History: Including Black Canadians in University Curricula”.
For me, the Student EDI Research opportunity is a way to make a tangible impact on the inclusivity of our curricula by incorporating the rich cultural histories and perspectives of Black Canadians. This research aims to ensure that Black students feel valued and seen, fostering a learning environment that honours their heritage while also educating their peers about long-excluded aspects of Canadian history.
