We are happy to announce that Professor Friedmann will be joining us as a Visiting Professor for the fall 2016 term, to teach a course for Political Economy on ‘Political Ecology of Food’ and a course for Sociology on ‘Transitions of Sociology.’ Professor Friedmann, is a professor of Sociology and Geography and a Fellow of the Munk School of Global Affairs at University of Toronto. She has published and lectured widely on the politics of food and agriculture, most recently focusing on social justice and sustainability of farming systems and regional agrifood planning.
