Contract Instructor Teaching Opportunity
FALL TERM 2026 (September to December 2026)
Pursuant to Article 16.3 of the CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement, subject to Article 16.2 and 16.4 through 16.7, applications are invited from members of the CUPE 4600 bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach the following course in the Institute of Political Economy in the fall 2026.

Course Title: PECO 5002 – Political Economy of Work and Labor
Course Description: Students analyze and synthesize key concepts and debates in the political economy of work and labor with particular attention to divisions of labor, power structures, and histories of struggle.
Required Qualifications: Applicants should hold an MA or higher degree, normally in the discipline(s) under which the course is listed and demonstrate sufficient scholarly background and expertise to teach competently in the specific area that the course covers. A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in organized labour in more than one sector is strongly preferred.
