Research Description

My research looks at the relationship between settler colonialism and capitalism through the frontline organization of Water Protectors and Land Defenders. I situate this analysis within the history of the radical Indigenous movement, especially insofar as this history demonstrates a learning process through which Indigenous peoples have developed more effective theoretical interventions and practical strategies to advance their rights and self-determination. In doing so, I bring to together the politics of Indigenous resurgence and Marxism.
