The interdisciplinary nature of the Master of Arts (MA) in Political Economy exposes our students to the core concepts of political economy and helps them develop individual areas of research concentration. A collaborative specialization in African Studies is also available.

Our collaborative PhD with a specialization in Political Economy is especially designed for Carleton doctoral students in the following participating programs: Canadian Studies, Communication StudiesGeography and Environmental Studies, History, Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Policy and Administration, Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work.
