Fire Reports – Colonel By Child Care Centre

At approximately 6:45pm on August 17,2009, CSS officers were dispatched to a fire alarm activation in the Colonel By Child Care Centre. Ottawa Fire Services were requested to attend. On arrival, officers noted that there were no visible signs of smoke or flames. Upon further inquiry, the cause of the alarm was found to be contractors who had burned off excess heating oil near the furnace. Ottawa Fire Services gave the all clear and requested the building’s alarm be reset.
