Did you know that in 2006 the City of Calgary had 2,000 bikes reported stolen and 1,400 recovered? Of those recovered, however, only 200 were registered and could be returned to the rightful owner.
What is the Bicycle Identification program?
The Bicycle Registration System is a free service to all of the campus community.
How does it work?
When you register, you’re asked to give your bike’s serial number and a detailed description. This data is used in the possible recovery of your bike. You can register online or in person at one of the two registration dates per year – one in the spring and another in the fall. For more information, please visit the Department of University Safety’s bicycle registration page by clicking here.
