Over the last week there have been a number of thefts from vehicles parked on campus. The thieves are targeting vehicles in which valuables such as Global Positioning Systems, electronics, electronic accessories and bags which may contain valuables are left in plain view. The thefts are currently under investigation and members of the Campus Safety Services will be patrolling the parking lots regularly. Users are encouraged to take their valuables with them when parking, or failing that ensure that all valuables are kept out of sight. Please bear in mind that thieves are often smart enough to look for wires, mounting brackets and even the suction cup residue on a window to locate vehicles of interest to them.
