The Campus Safety Services wants to alert the Carleton community about a sales fraud occurring door to door and in common gathering places such as Cafeteria’s. Individuals, posing as sales people for gift cards, have been canvassing local areas. The gift cards are later found to be fraudulent.
These groups have been known to look and act extremely professional and have the ability to accept debit and credit card payments for the fraudulent gift cards.
The Campus Safety Services would like to remind everyone that Carleton University does not allow organizations to go door-to-door.
