On Nov. 23, 2013 the Campus Safety Services’s Wellness Committee held its 6th annual Ball Hockey Tournament in support of the Shepherds of Good Hope Holiday Hampers.

The tournament saw eight teams participate and was able to raise over $400 which will provide at leave two families with Holiday Hampers. The winning team of the tournament was team OBV.

The Wellness Committee is continuing to raise money for the Shepherds of Good Hope with two bake sales scheduled for Dec. 3, 2013 in Robertson Hall and the University Centre. Raffle tickets for an upcoming Ottawa Senators game are also available through the Campus Safety Services.

The Campus Safety Services is now accepting registrations for the 6th annual Ball Hockey Tournament in support of the Shepherds of Good Hope Holiday Hampers.

Last year’s tournament raised funds to provide four families in Ottawa with a holiday hamper which included everyday groceries, holiday dinner as well as some toys and gifts for children.  Each basket costs approximately $200

The annual tournament is organized the by department’s Wellness Committee.  “The tournament is a great way for the community to come together and have fun while supporting Ottawa families” said Wellness Committee Co-Chair Krista Sayeau.

Registration is $50 per team with all proceeds being donated to the Shepherd’s of Good Hope. The deadline for teams to register is Nov. 18, 2013.
