Carleton Shivering Snorkelers Make a Splash for Special Olympics
The Carleton Shivering Snorkelers took the plunge—literally—for a great cause, braving icy waters to support the Special Olympics at this year’s Ottawa Polar Plunge. The dedicated team of 19 plungers raised an impressive $5,815, securing a spot among the Top 3 fundraising teams in the city.
Their efforts contributed to the event’s overall success, with $71,227 raised to support programming and events for 23,000 Special Olympics athletes across Ontario.
“To everyone who plunged and those who donated—thank you! Your generosity means so much,” a team representative shared. “I’m beyond proud of CSS and the amazing people I work with.”
The annual Ottawa Polar Plunge continues to be a highlight for those looking to make a difference while taking on the ultimate cold-weather challenge.
Way to go, team!
