What is a CCR Validator?
Validators are the individuals responsible for approving or declining students’ CCR requests based on their participation. Validators must be staff members or a student that has been given permission to oversee the activity and validate the new position
How to validate positions
Step 1:
- Staff and Faculty validators can access the CCR by logging in to CUHire.
- Student validators can access their CCR accounts through Carleton Central. Click on the “Co-curricular Record & Volunteer Bureau” link under the mySuccess tab. Read the privacy statement and press the “Continue” button. If you work part-time but are a student, please enter using the student instructions.
Step 2: Once logged in, click on the Co-Curricular Record arrow located on the left-side panel to bring up all options then select “My CCR Record”.
Step 3: You will be directed to a page that lists all your pending validations. Here you can either approve or decline requests depending on students’ participation in your activity. The last day for validators to approve/decline students’ participation is May 30, 2025.
How to add a new position to the CCR directory
Step 1: Once logged in, select “Submit a New Position” from the quick navigation dropdown menu. This provides a short description of the new position requirements.
Step 2: Select “Request Form” then select “Add New Position to New or Existing Activity”.
Step 3: Select the pathway to your existing activity then select “Next”.
Step 4: A position “Name” and “Description” are the only requirements for a new position. Anything else is considered optional. Scroll to the bottom and select “Next” when complete.
Step 5: Select the “Anticipated Competencies” from the preset list which are specific to the position.
Step 6: Fill out all the required “Validator Information” then select “Next”.
Step 7: “Applicant Information” must be the validator for the activity. Fill out the required information then select “Finish”.
