Halima Ali

Halima is a multilingual Social Worker, Somali Community Leader, women’s rights activist, Addictions and mental health case manager, world traveller, public health nurse midwife, CU Alumni.She intends to discuss her career as a social worker and a champion for human rights, the value of an equity mindset (helping those in need), challenging colonialism and it’s harmful ideological impacts in the harmful status quo in ACB communities, and the lessons learned from overcoming obstacles in her life!
