Fall term payment deadline. Click here for important payment information. Late payment charges and late registration charges apply to the student account on or after this date.
September 1
Interest charges begin to accrue on the fall term balance.
September 7
Statutory holiday. University closed.
September 9
Fall term classes begin.
September 16
OSAP deferral deadline. Late charges apply to the student account on or after this date for eligible OSAP students.
September 23
Last day to register for fall and fall/winter courses.
September 30
Last day for a fee adjustment (financial withdrawal) when withdrawing from fall term courses or the fall portion of full year courses. Withdrawals after this date will create no financial change to fall term fees and will result in a grade of WDN to appear on your transcript.
Last day to pay your fall term tuition fees or it may result in deregistration from all courses for the fall and winter terms. If you intend to withdraw from your courses, you must do so via Carleton Central within the published deadlines. Non-attendance or failure to pay any outstanding fees does not constitute withdrawal from courses.
October 1
Interest accrued over the month of September is charged to accounts.
October 12

November 1
Interest accrued over the month of October is charged to accounts.
November 25
Winter term payment deadline. Click here for important payment information. Late payment charges and late registration charges apply to the student account on or after this date. Payment is required to complete the registration process.
December 1
Interest accrued over the month of November is charged to accounts.
December 11
Fall term financial holds preventing access to grades through Carleton Central and the release of documents will be applied to accounts with an outstanding balance. Last day of fall term classes. Last day for academic withdrawal from fall term courses (no financial adjustment).
December 25 to January 3
University closed and will reopen on January 4.
January 1
Interest accrued over the month of December is charged to accounts. Interest charges begin to accrue on the winter term balance.
January 11
Winter term classes begin.
January 13
OSAP deferral deadline. Late payment charges and late registration charges apply to the student account on or after this date for eligible OSAP students.
January 25
Last day to register for winter courses. Late registration charges will be applied if registering after the November 25 payment deadline.
January 31
Last day for a fee adjustment (financial withdrawal) when withdrawing from winter term courses or the winter portion of full year courses. Withdrawals after this date will create no financial change to winter term fees and will result in a grade of WDN to appear on your transcript.
February 1
Interest accrued over the month of January is charged to accounts.
February 15

March 1
Interest accrued over the month of February is charged to accounts.
March 18
Financial holds preventing registration will be applied to accounts with an outstanding balance. In order to prevent delayed registration for summer 2020 courses, please ensure that Carleton has received payment for your outstanding balance prior to this date.
April 1
Interest accrued over the month of March is charged to accounts.
April 14
Winter term financial holds preventing access to grades through Carleton Central and the release of documents will be applied to accounts with an outstanding balance. Last day of winter term classes. Last day for academic withdrawal from winter term courses (no financial adjustment).
