Iron Ring

The Iron Ring is worn by Canadian-trained engineers on the little finger of their primary working hand as a symbol and reminder of the obligations and ethics associated with their profession. The ring, which reflects the moral, ethical and professional commitment made by the engineer who wears it, is presented to graduates in a closed ceremony known as The Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer. This ceremony is private; only approved applicants and obligated guests can attend this ceremony.

Ring Exchange

Please contact ironring@carleton.ca to request ring exchange contact information for Camp 12.

Replacement Rings

Carleton University is unable to issue replacement rings or ring exchanges, but we can re-direct your request to the Camp 12 secretary. To request a replacement ring, please email engineering.reception@uottawa.ca and include the following in your message: Full Name, Year of Graduation, and Name of the University, or the Camp Number.
